Do they look at your cumulative average for the whole 4 yrs, or how u did your junior year? which is the most important semester that they look at?What do colleges look at specifically on your hs transcript?
Colleges will look at your entire transcript, but your junior and senior level work is the most important. Yes, your cumulative GPA is important, but if you really messed up during your freshman and sophomore years but took your work more seriously during the last two years of high school that is taken into consideration. In addition to looking at GPA and grades, the types of courses that you take are important to consider. Colleges want to see that you've taken college prepatory classes, and maybe some AP courses, too. What do colleges look at specifically on your hs transcript?
ALL four years are just as important. There is no year that is more important then another. I know people say that freshman year doesnt count as much as junior year but look the reality is that every semester you take in highschool starting from 9th grade effects your OVERALL GPA. if you mess up for the first two years then you are scrwewed because your GPA will go down dramiatically and will not look good. Yes, they look at your cumulative GPA. This answers your question.
