How long it take for the pakistani college to get a transcript?

I want to take admission in college in U.S.A, and I came from Pakistan and finished my school and college over there. I went to apply as a degree student but they told me that they need an official transcript from my school and college. Did any one has any idea that how long it usually takes? I have gone through a similar situation for my graduate school application. I went to the school with photocopies of my transcripts and the clerk at registrar office attested them after verifying my original transcript. Then he put it in an envelope, and sealed and stamped it, which made it acceptable as official transcript from my university.
