If I were to leave regular Physics, would it affect my transcript for highly selected colleges?

I am really dedicated when it comes to my schoolwork, over a 4.0 GPA, but this semester of my junior year, I have an extremely incompetent Physics teacher where everyone is doing horrible in his class.

Will leaving Physics for semester two affect my chances in getting into a good college? I plan on applying to UC Berkeley, UCLA, and other selected colleges.

Please leave some feedback. Thank you.

I'll choose best answer. If I were to leave regular Physics, would it affect my transcript for highly selected colleges?
The answer is probably not, if you already have enough science for graduation from high school and entry to college.

Your other alternative is to take physics this summer at another high school or at a community college. If you choose this plan, notify the universities by postal letter as soon as possible and be sure to have a transcript sent from the summer school to the university where you will attend.

It will look better on your transcript if you replace physics for the spring semester with another difficult academic class, rather than with an arts class or a free period, for example. If I were to leave regular Physics, would it affect my transcript for highly selected colleges?
In my experience, crappy teachers grade on a curve.

I was certainly not a 4.0 student, but it is a shame that grades deter people from hard classes.

I took AP physics in high school, half of the Victorians dropped it at semester(we had like 30 of them total). I suppose i can see there reasoning, but at some point, whether in highschool, college, or in the workplace you will learn that grades do not equal knowledge.

Best of luck to you!
