How to submit an official High School transcript with the Common Application?

I've been browsing through the Common Application pages in preparation of my application. However, I didn't quite see or understand how I or my school will be able to submit my high school transcript (or any other additional documentation colleges require) online together with the rest of my application. Will it simply be uploaded? and if so, in what section of the application?How to submit an official High School transcript with the Common Application?
Your high school transcript will be forwarded by your high school to the universities where you're applying. You'll need to coordinate that with your guidance counselor. Also, if you are applying to schools that require teacher recommendations, you need to talk to your teachers about that well in advance of when the recommendations are due. Your high school transcript and other documents (like teacher recommendations) won't be submitted online. You have to send that to the school you're applying to.
