How does a ';Withdrawn'; class look on your college transcript when applying for graduate school?

I have a calculus teacher who doesn't speak english at all, so likewise, there is no way to do well in his class, so I am considering withdrawing, and taking another calculus class next semester. How bad does this look?

Also, how will financial aid be affected? I have a lot of it.

Also, will it matter that I have a withdrawn class when I want to apply for studying abroad? How does a ';Withdrawn'; class look on your college transcript when applying for graduate school?
I think if you do it once and then get a good grade when you take the class for ';real,'; you'll be OK. Also, if your other grades are good, that certainly helps! I withdrew from Molecular Biology when I was an undergrad and got an A- in it the next semester. I was accepted into every graduate school to which I applied, including one ranked third nationally in my field (microbiology).

As long as you have enough credits to still be a full-time student after you drop the class, your financial aid should not be affected.

Keep in mind that there are many other factors considered when you apply to graduate school (or study abroad programs). I'm not sure what your field is, but in biology they heavily consider whether you've done lab research. How does a ';Withdrawn'; class look on your college transcript when applying for graduate school?
If it's just one class, you'll be fine. Don't make a habit out of it, though. It won't have an affect on attempting to study abroad. As for financial aid, you need to ask your school's Financial Aid office about any consequences; as long as you'll still be going at least part-time (meaning you're going at least, for example, 6 credit hours), you should be fine, though.
