How do I get an official high school transcript?

I have been out of high school for two years attending a community college. Now I am transfering to a regular 4 year university. They want me to send them (along with college transcript) my official high school transcript. How do I get that to them now that Im out of highschool? Do they have to send it directly to the colleges? Or do/can they send it to me where I can make copies to send to the colleges I will be applying to?How do I get an official high school transcript?
Call your high school. They can send it directly to colleges, but you may have to sign a release and/or pay a fee. Colleges want an official copy, so a photocopy you make won't cut it and it often needs to be sent directly from the school. How do I get an official high school transcript?
All you have to do is go to your high school counseling office and request for them to be sent to the school you will be attending they will have you fill out a card and pay them a few bucks. Sometimes they never send them they either forget or they get lost in the mail so have something set up to where when the school receives them they sign a card that gets sent back to you. Good Luck!
Well speaking as a college instructor and the author of the job search book ';Think Like an Interviewer: Your Job Hunting Guide to Success,'; let me answer your question.

Official transcripts are most often (99.9% of the time) sent directly from school-to-school. And the reason is to prevent others from possibly tampering with the transcript info. So you'll have to contact your high school and order a set of transcripts. And have them send it to that four-year university you're transferring to.

Now sometimes, the college itself may have the transcript request form that you fill out and send to your high school. This is another very common way to obtain transcripts. In other words, instead of your going to the high school and asking for transcripts, you fill-out a form on the college's end that gets sent to the high school.

So there are two methods by which transcripts can be ordered. Your university will tell you which of these two is their way of handling things. But either way, you won't be allowed to touch the high school transcripts yourself out of fear of possible tampering.

And my suggestion is to make sure you order those transcripts well in advance of when you need to be accepted. You never know how long it can take the high school to get around to it. So it may take a while for the high school to send them!
You need to contact your high school. The usual method is for the high school to send the transcript directly to the college. They do not usually allow you to handle it in the middle. This is to avoid the possibility of the transcript being altered before it gets to the college.
