How bad does a W look on my transcript going into college?

I'm currently an incoming senior in high school and currently, I am taking multivariables at a community college. I am seriously regretting this decision but the deadline to drop out without a W in my class has already passed. I feel like I am going to get a C or D in this class but I don't know how bad a W will look when I apply to college. Should I drop the class and take the W? What will colleges think when they see the W in my transcript? How bad does a W look on my transcript going into college?
It looks pretty bad. Don't expect to get into any elite universities with one or more W's. When colleges see a W, they see that you signed up for a class, but didn't stick with it. If you're looking to get into community college/state university, it'll still be possible. Private/elite schools? Forget about it.

My advice: take the W if you're going for community/state college. If not, work hard, get help from the professors, and earn B's/A's.How bad does a W look on my transcript going into college?
W is better than a D or F. Just make sure to not get more than 4 W's i would say through your ENTIRE college career. Well that's mostly for transfer students, but still a lot of W's are bad.
